Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the US. She is an actor, singer and dancer. In her early Broadway performances, she starred in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford spent the majority of her career working alongside renowned directors and actors across stage film and television and she will continue that collaboration with a variety of upcoming projects. Ashford will be next starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani, in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. As it is a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford, who will appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the leading the production. Ashford was most recently seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the nation's first impeachment proceedings over 100 Years. Her two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive was her first major part. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role in the role of Essie. Also, she has appeared on Broadway on Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first role of Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for the Tony Award. Ashford is a Denver resident who splits his time in Los Angeles.
